I met up with Ryan and Amanda, pregnant with the first baby, in the days leading up to the Covid explosion. This adorably happy couple has been married for 5 years, and Savannah, most specifically Forysth, has special meaning for them. It’s where Ryan proposed to his bride. Of course it was most fitting that we returned to Forysth Park for Amanda’s maternity session.
Amanda looked gorgeous in this teal gown, borrowed from our curated studio wardrobe. Our maternity clients not only have access to over 60 gowns, dresses, tops, and skirts for their session, but also professional in-house hair and makeup artistry. We love to spoil our mamas!
Aren’t they a beautiful couple? And of course, Savannah never disappoints.
Idyllic Jones Street was our next stop. It’s one of my favorite places to photograph families, couples, and high school seniors in the Savannah area. The gorgeous architecture, tree-lined streets of towering oaks, plus the whimsy and nod to days gone by make this stretch of Savannah an obvious choice for one of the most beautiful (and most photographed!) streets in America.
Ryan is an amateur photographer specializing in landscapes, so this couple definitely has an appreciation for all the treasures Savannah has to offer.
Ryan and Amanda chose this stunning portrait as a framed piece for the walls of their home. There’s so much to love about the portrait below, but most notably Amanda’s endearing laugh and the couple’s visible joy at the upcoming arrival of their son.
